Job summary

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is seeking a Florida-certified Anatomy & Physiology Instructor for a 12-month contract with a remote or school-based assignment. The position offers an annual salary of $57,000 and comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

The instructor will design and deliver rigorous online instruction, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to meet state and program goals while supporting diverse learners and maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in content area assigned OR proof of active enrollment in an approved EPI/MAT program with a Florida eligibility or temporary certificate.
• Endorsements as required by Florida Department of Education.
• Three years’ teaching experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement instructional activities for engaged, meaningful learning.
• Identify, select, create, and modify instructional resources for diverse learners.
• Assist in assessing curricular needs and propose improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with students/parents as needed.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance instruction across a state-wide online platform.
• Model professional and ethical standards in dealings with students, parents, and colleagues.
