Job summary

Improvado is seeking a data-platform engineer to own three to six accounts from discovery through production. You’ll engage with customers to understand their marketing data problem and deliver a production-ready solution each month.

You’ll design and maintain data models with SQL/dbt on ClickHouse, BigQuery or Snowflake, write Python pipelines on Temporal, and deliver dashboards in Looker, Power BI or Tableau. Strong collaboration and reproducible QA are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping data work for external customers.
• SQL is your first language; Python is a comfortable second.
• Experience with Claude Code / Codex / Cursor for real work.
• Ability to discuss data solutions with marketing and engineering leads.

Responsibilities

• Run weekly customer calls and turn feedback into a scoped build with dates.
• Design and maintain models: SQL and dbt on ClickHouse, BigQuery or Snowflake, as sources change.
• Write Python pipelines on Temporal for gaps not covered by the platform; include SFTP feeds, validation rules, joins, audits.
• Ship dashboards in Looker, Power BI or Tableau as requested by the customer.
• QA deliveries before handoff and report platform gaps with reproducible cases.
