Job summary
Alpaca is seeking an AML/Compliance Analyst to support and execute AML and regulatory compliance for our digital asset platform. You will partner with the CCO of Alpaca Crypto LLC to mitigate risk, review transactions, and ensure operations align with regulatory standards.
The Compliance Department is 100% remote and distributed, reporting directly to the CCO. You will perform monitoring, investigate suspicious activity, draft SARs, and collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of AML experience in crypto or financial services.
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology and digital assets.
- Solid understanding of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC, FinCEN guidance.
- Analytical skills to write investigative narratives.
- Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics tools and fiat monitoring vendors.
Responsibilities
- Daily review and disposition of monitoring alerts.
- Investigate and draft SARs for regulators.
- Use on-chain analytics to trace cryptocurrency flows.
- Assist with escalated KYC/KYB reviews and EDD.
- Tune monitoring rules with CCO and compliance engineering.
- Collaborate with support, engineering, and product teams to embed controls.
