Job summary

Allegiance Mobile Health is seeking a remote Medical Coder responsible for reviewing ambulance run reports to assign HCPCS and ICD-10 codes, verify patient demographics and insurance data, and ensure compliance with Federal/Local regulations. This role also tracks documentation trends and reports them to management.

The position requires knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid benefits, strong data entry, and excellent customer service skills, with attention to regulatory details and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum education includes Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, and an accredited coding course (80 hours).
• CPC/CCS or CAC certification preferred.
• 1 year of medical coding experience or internship with 3 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review ambulance run reports and assign HCPCS and ICD-10 codes.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance verification are complete.
• Accurately assign diagnosis codes according to regulations.
• Meet defined metrics and adhere to company policies.
• Maintain regular attendance and report trends to management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
