Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Applied AI team, building Python services, APIs, and data-driven AI-powered applications across cloud and on-prem environments, collaborating with NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Google.

You will design scalable architectures, implement authentication across layers, and contribute to full-stack work including React UIs and data integration, while solving complex problems in a fast-moving AI landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience building production applications.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience building APIs, backend services, and data-centric applications.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with React or another modern web framework.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, containers, source control, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based services, APIs, and AI-enabled applications.
• Build data-driven applications processing data from enterprise systems and external services.
• Integrate AI capabilities into production software using prompt orchestration, RAG, and agents.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures.
• Implement modern authentication and authorization across app and API layers.
• Contribute across the full stack, including React UIs and data integration.
• Work with Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA, and related AI platforms.
