Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior AI Scanning Product Owner to define and drive the roadmap for an AI-driven code vulnerability detection capability. This remote contract role partners with security, technology, and compliance teams to translate requirements into actionable features and measurable outcomes.

The role involves guiding a squad of engineers to build the scanner, evaluation harness, and integrations, with a focus on detection effectiveness, precision, recall, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in product ownership, product management, information security, software delivery, or related fields.
• Experience leading a technical product through design, deployment, adoption and operations.
• Ability to translate security, risk and business needs into features and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of SDLC, Git-based development, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, objectives, and roadmap for the AI-driven code vulnerability detection capability.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog based on security risk, exploitability, regulatory impact, customer value, and engineering capacity.
• Translate requirements into Features, Stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Guide delivery of the scanner, evaluation harness, CI/CD integrations, reporting capabilities, telemetry, and infrastructure.
• Establish success measures for detection effectiveness, precision, recall, coverage, and reliability.
• Define evaluation approaches, regression testing, ground-truth datasets, and release criteria with engineering and security experts.
• Ensure changes to models, prompts, or detection logic are tested and governed.
• Prioritize technical debt and reliability alongside new capabilities.
• Provide transparency on roadmap priorities, delivery status, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate integrations with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, reporting, and vulnerability workflows.
• Engage stakeholders to validate usability and improve adoption.
• Define disposition and workflow for scanner outputs with accountability.
• Maintain documentation, procedures, and governance evidence.
• Maintain a healthy backlog and participate in ceremonies.
