Job summary

Mercor is seeking a remote red team specialist to probe AI models with adversarial inputs and surface vulnerabilities that impact safety. You will generate high-quality data and document actionable findings for clients across multiple projects, following established taxonomies and playbooks.

Participation in higher-sensitivity testing is supported by guidelines and wellness resources. You are motivated, structured, and able to explain risks clearly to both technical and non-technical

Qualifications

• Experience in red team or adversarial AI work.
• Ability to follow structured frameworks and playbooks.
• Excellent communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Red team conversational AI models and agents: jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse cases, bias exploitation, multi-turn manipulation.
• Generate high-quality human data: annotate failures, classify vulnerabilities, and flag systemic risks.
• Apply structure: follow taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks to keep testing consistent.
• Document reproducibly: produce reports, datasets, and attack cases customers can act on.
