Outlier is hiring an AI Research Scientist to join a fully remote team delivering high-quality data for AI models. You will evaluate AI outputs, craft prompts, and contribute to data annotation projects with a focus on reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or higher, strong analytical and writing skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Flexible hours and a collaborative, global environment are offered for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (or currently enrolled).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to develop complex prompts and evaluate AI reasoning.
• Strong writing: clear, concise, and engaging writing to explain decisions or critique responses.
• Attention to detail: commitment to accuracy and to assess technical aspects of model outputs.

• Use rubrics to address user needs in a structured way.
• Evaluate AI outputs by reviewing and ranking reasoning and problem-solving responses from large language models.
