Job summary

Tether Operations Limited is hiring a highly capable AI Research Engineer to advance multimodal vision-language models and scalable deployment strategies. You will drive the full model development lifecycle from data curation to training, evaluation, and optimization, ensuring production-ready solutions.

You will collaborate with a small, high-caliber team to push the boundaries of multimodal AI in a globally remote environment, delivering impactful improvements across platforms and use cases.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end research and engineering on vision-language models including training, evaluation, and optimization across the full model development lifecycle.
• Design and implement post-training pipelines such as supervised fine-tuning, knowledge distillation, and RLHF.
• Develop and maintain multimodal datasets with data curation, filtering, and balancing for domain tasks.
• Improve model efficiency and deployability for resource-constrained environments using compression techniques.
• Create evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to measure model performance, robustness, and real-world task success.
• Build and scale training workflows across distributed GPU infrastructure.
• Identify bottlenecks in training pipelines to achieve state-of-the-art results.
• Contribute to open-source ecosystems with models, datasets, and tooling to accelerate development.
• Stay current with multimodal learning research and translate findings into practical improvements.
• Publish research findings in top-tier AI conferences and journals where applicable.
