Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Senior Director Analyst in AI-Ready Finance Data & Analytics, a remote North America role guiding research at the intersection of finance, data and AI. You will lead thinking on AI-ready data foundations, governance, and data architectures to enable scalable AI adoption and informed enterprise decisions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data management, data governance, analytics, AI strategy or related leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in data governance, metadata management, data products, knowledge management and AI-ready data practices.
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures (data fabrics, data mesh, semantic layers).
• Ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear business guidance.
• Proven thought leadership in emerging data, analytics or AI disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Gartner's research agenda on AI-ready data within finance and related functions.
• Develop thought leadership on AI-ready data architectures, data quality and metadata management.
• Advise CFOs and finance leaders on building trusted data ecosystems for AI and analytics.
• Research trends like active metadata, semantic architectures and agentic AI enablement.
• Create frameworks, maturity models and benchmarks to assess AI readiness.
• Deliver conference presentations, webinars, workshops and executive client interactions.
• Support Gartner clients through inquiry, advisory engagements and strategic discussions.
• Collaborate with analysts across Finance, Data & Analytics, AI, and Technology practices.
