Job summary

Frontline Education is seeking an AI Ops Engineer to design and deploy AI-powered cloud operations within our SaaS engineering group. You will work remotely in the United States, leveraging AI coding assistants to accelerate development while ensuring security, auditability, and reliability.

You will collaborate across agile teams, write maintainable code, review peers, and contribute to governance, cost, and performance improvements as AI capabilities evolve.

Qualifications

• This role requires 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production apps.
• Experience using AI coding assistants as part of a modern software development workflow.
• Strong cybersecurity mindset with focus on least privilege, secure development, and data protection.
• Experience collaborating within Agile software development teams.
• Strong proficiency with Git including branching strategies, PRs, and code reviews.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and drive work to completion.
• Strong written documentation and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor discussions to audiences.
• Desire to grow into technical leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and improve AI and cloud operations solutions.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle including planning and testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and peer code reviews.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code with thorough reviews.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery with governance and security.
• Clearly communicate technical tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Improve engineering practices, docs, and standards across the team.
• Support team growth as AI capabilities expand.
