Job summary
Alignerr is seeking Mathematics experts to help build and refine the mathematical reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI models. This fully remote, hourly contract role invites Masters or PhD holders in Mathematics to design and review advanced problems and ensure rigor in AI reasoning.
You'll work asynchronously with AI research teams, applying algebra, calculus, statistics, and discrete mathematics, and coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica to drive high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Hold a Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- Deeply proficient in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics.
- Experienced coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or academic projects.
- A precise, detail‑oriented thinker with strong written communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance
- Design complex, nuanced problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning
- Apply deep expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to evaluate and improve model outputs
- Ensure mathematical rigor, clarity, and depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
