Job summary

Ello is seeking a full-time AI Learning Designer (Math) to shape the instructional vision and design of our math learning experiences. This role sits at the intersection of elementary math pedagogy and AI: you'll build and refine AI-powered activities, steer our AI tutor, and collaborate with engineers to make a future-ready math product.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in math education or learning science, with emphasis on elementary math.
• Strong technical foundation in CS, AI, educational technology, or related product development.
• AI-forward workflow using LLMs and generative AI daily.
• Ability to communicate with engineers and translate instructional ideas into AI-powered experiences.
• Fast ramp-up ability with high output at pace.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered math lessons with strong pedagogy.
• Evaluate AI tutor outputs for instructional effectiveness.
• Guide and refine AI tutor prompts to teach as an expert math tutor.
• Collaborate with engineers and AI researchers to improve instruction through testing and iteration.
