Job summary

SME Careers is seeking an hourly remote contractor to review AI-generated English responses and generate expert language content. You will evaluate reasoning, edit steps, and provide precise, actionable feedback to improve model outputs.

You will assess accuracy, clarity, and adherence to prompts, identify logical or factual errors, and write high-quality explanations and revisions that demonstrate correct methods. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Expert command of English (C2/Native-level preferred) with Minimum C1 proficiency; multilingual ability preferred.
• Strong skills in grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse structure, and stylistic editing across registers.
• Attention to detail in identifying meaning drift, ambiguity, inconsistencies, and subtle errors; able to explain corrections clearly in writing.
• Comfortable applying style guides and enforcing consistency across varied content types.
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
• Previous experience with AI data training/annotation, editorial QA, localization QA, or professional copyediting is strongly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience using tools like Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT and others.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and responses to guide AI learning across diverse subjects.
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to enhance accuracy and relevance.
• Ensure Model Integrity: Test models for inaccuracies or biases and validate reliability across use cases.
