Cambium Learning Group is seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern (AI Applications) to join a collaborative team building AI-powered educational assessment systems used by millions of students. You will contribute to real products while learning from experienced engineers at the forefront of EdTech.

This remote US internship offers hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agent workflows, and integration of generative AI across our platforms, with mentorship from product teams and researchers

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in CS, Data Science, SE, AI/ML or related field.
• Experience with at least one programming language (Python, JS/TS, or C#).
• Familiarity with web development, APIs, or backend systems.
• Interest in Generative AI, LLMs, or intelligent systems.
• Strong problem-solving and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Coursework or projects involving AI, ML, or NLP.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Interest in education technology or applied learning sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing AI-powered features using LLMs.
• Support AI agent workflows, including prompt design and tool integration.
• Help integrate generative AI capabilities into educational platforms.
• Contribute to evaluation and testing of AI systems for quality and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers on real-world use cases.
