Job summary

Ledgent Technology seeks an AI Engineer in Los Angeles with 1–2 years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI/LLM-powered applications. You will design, deploy, and monitor AI agents, build user-facing interfaces, and collaborate with data teams to ensure high-quality data and reliable systems.

We value strong software fundamentals (testing, version control, code reviews) and experience with SQL and large-scale data environments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience building and deploying AI/LLM-powered applications in production environments.
• Strong software engineering foundations including testing, version control, and code reviews.
• Experience developing customer-facing or internal business applications.
• Proficiency with SQL and large-scale data environments.
• Understanding of AI agent architectures, grounding techniques, and evaluation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify business processes that can benefit from AI-driven automation.
• Design, build, and deploy AI agents that complete tasks end-to-end.
• Develop user-facing applications and interfaces to make AI outputs understandable and trustworthy.
• Define success criteria and create testing frameworks to evaluate AI performance.
• Monitor and improve AI systems across accuracy, reliability, cost, and response times.
• Work with data teams to ensure agents are grounded in high-quality data.
• Establish and maintain data access, security, and governance controls.
• Document system functionality, capabilities, and performance metrics.
