Job summary

Machinify is seeking an experienced L4 AI Engineer to design production-grade agentic systems for medical claims. The role involves creating effective context strategies, driving evaluation rigor, and deploying AI tools. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of ML/AI experience, a strong command of Python, and expertise in agent systems. This fully remote position offers competitive compensation ranging from $130k to $180k+, along with comprehensive health benefits, unlimited PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of applied ML / AI engineering experience.
• Strong Python engineering skills with clean code.
• Hands-on understanding of agent loops.
• Experience with major agent SDKs.
• Fluency with Claude Code / Codex as a power user.
• Solid command of VS Code and git.

Responsibilities

• Design agent systems from first principles.
• Engineer context for building agents.
• Drive evaluation rigor before building agents.
• Use AI tooling efficiently to plan and debug.
• Become a domain expert in healthcare claims.
