Job summary

P-1 AI is building an AI engineer agent named Archie to fit into engineering teams and workflows as a human-like engineer. The role covers architecture, backend, frontend, deployment, and reliability with a hands-on, high-ownership approach.

You’ll work with forward deployed engineers and researchers to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new product concepts. Remote or on-site options reflect a flexible, fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• SWE heavyweight that can work across architecture, infrastructure, back end, front end, and everything in between.
• Take products or significant features from concept through production and can clearly explain engineering decisions.
• Take deep pride in the product you put out.
• Always experimenting with the latest AI products to optimize workflow and code caliber.
• Show public proof of talent through products or open-source work.

Responsibilities

• Build the core product platform on which Archie is built and shipped to customers.
• Own end-to-end product features spanning architecture, back end, front end, and reliability.
• Develop and adopt best practices for using coding agents in the development workflow.
• Collaborate with forward deployed engineers, AI researchers, SWE teammates, and founders to prototype and iterate.
• Ship continuously, respond to customer feedback, and refine the product through rapid iteration.
