Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products. We craft high-quality datasets at scale by blending engineering, infrastructure, and research.

You will tackle complex problems, explore new data sources, and build scalable data systems. The ideal candidate has a CS degree or equivalent, 5+ years of software engineering experience, and strong Python and Bash skills in Linux.

Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new data sources and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training data for next-generation models.
• Own engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation.
