Job summary

Advantage Investigations seeks a senior software engineering leader to own and advance the AI platform and cross-system architecture. You will write production code while guiding direction, practices, and engineering culture across Python/.NET stacks and front-end techs.

In the first six months you will own the Python/FastAPI services on Bedrock and coordinate with React/TypeScript frontend, AWS serverless setup, and case-management integration.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering, with production ownership.
• Player-coach record with substantial production delivery and leadership.
• Strong production experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Core, and with Python and FastAPI or similar.
• Strong TypeScript experience with React, Vue, or Angular and ability to review work across them.
• Deep AWS experience including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, CloudFront, SQS, Step Functions, IAM, and VPC networking.
• Infrastructure as code, containerized deployment, and performance tuning in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• OIDC/OAuth2, JWT, cross-application single sign-on, least-privilege IAM, secure file handling.
• Proven modernization of legacy systems without business disruption.
• Clear writing and communication for explaining tradeoffs to non-engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI platform API, infrastructure, and UI across development, QA, and production.
• Build and operate Python and FastAPI services on Amazon Bedrock with multimodal models for document extraction and service recommendations.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure with SAM and CloudFormation (API Gateway, Lambda, Aurora Serverless, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, ECS).
• Guide the React and TypeScript front-end with single sign-on to the case-management platform.
• Ensure AI outputs are reliable, measurable, and cost-aware with human review of outputs.
• Architect the .NET 8 case-management backend and Vue 3 frontend (SQL Server, authentication, Bedrock-enabled features).
• Modernize large platforms incrementally without disrupting daily operations.
• Guide video API, Angular frontend, and Python GPU search service; shape media workflows (S3, DynamoDB, CloudFront, MediaConvert, Step Functions, Lambda, WebSockets).
• Set reference patterns, coding standards, security baselines, observability, and CI/CD across Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Lead architecture reviews; write design notes and decision records; own cross-platform integrations; coach engineers; support hiring and onboarding.
