Job summary

Foot Locker is seeking an experienced Engineer, AI & Automation to build enterprise AI components across merchandising, inventory, supply chain, stores, and digital analytics. You will develop, test, deploy, and support AI solutions, including AI agents and RAG pipelines, with strong collaboration across architecture and product teams.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable, production-ready code, CI/CD, and governance.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in software engineering, data engineering, automation, or related roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience developing REST APIs and data integrations.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
• Experience with Azure cloud and data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, logging, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI, GenAI, RAG, and automation applications.
• Build AI agents and workflows using enterprise frameworks.
• Develop prompts, APIs, and Python services; create automation workflows.
• Connect AI apps to enterprise data and semantic sources.
• Implement embeddings, vector search, and RAG pipelines.
• Integrate with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, Power BI, and enterprise apps.
• Support retail AI use cases across merchandising, inventory, supply chain, and analytics.
• Write clean, reusable, testable code and maintain docs.
• Create automated unit, integration, and AI evaluation tests.
