InterSources Inc. is seeking a Software Architect – Consultant (Artificial Intelligence) to help evaluate, design, and responsibly implement AI solutions.

The role focuses on secure AI architectures, reusable patterns, prototypes, feasibility assessments, vendor evaluations, and governance aligned with statewide requirements. You will work remotely with occasional onsite visits to Columbia, SC, managing PoC criteria, building AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation solutions, developing

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• 1+ year of evaluating AI solutions against defined criteria.
• 2+ years with ChatGPT, Copilot, or comparable AI platforms.
• 2+ years designing AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation.
• 1+ year AI-assisted coding tools for development and testing.
• 1+ year defining AI use-case success criteria and KPIs.
• 1+ year developing dashboards and reports for AI adoption.
• 1+ year integrating AI capabilities with Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Support statewide AI strategies development and implementation.
• Evaluate AI products, platforms, models, tools, services, use cases, and vendors.
• Establish PoC success criteria and assess AI solutions against those criteria.
• Design and implement AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation solutions.
• Develop secure, reusable AI architectures and implementation patterns.
• Conduct AI prototyping and feasibility assessments.
• Support AI governance, review, validation and approvals.
• Assist state agencies in identifying AI opportunities, risks, and requirements.
• Develop dashboards and reports on AI adoption, cost, risk, and performance.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with security, privacy, governance standards.
