Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Project Manager for the Formova Division to lead Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) projects from design to commissioning across North America and internationally. You will coordinate customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver complex automation solutions that boost safety, productivity, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience delivering technical projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (engineering or technical discipline preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience delivering complex technical projects
• Experience managing external customer projects in an OEM, systems integration, automation, robotics, or material handling environment
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
• Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills
• Experience managing contractors and installation activities in industrial environments
• Ability to develop, maintain, and report project budgets and forecasts
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Lead AGV projects from kickoff through customer acceptance, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk
• Serve as the primary customer contact, aligning on objectives and deliverables
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Controls, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Field Service
• Develop and maintain project schedules, financial forecasts, status reports, and metrics
• Monitor project performance and proactively address risks and issues
• Manage change requests with proper approvals and communication
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, and startup activities with contractors
• Ensure compliance with governance, quality standards, and documentation processes
• Provide regular status updates to customers and leadership
• Support forecasting, resource planning, and portfolio visibility
• Improve PM tools, templates, and best practices
