Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an Agricultural Credit Analyst to analyze financial information and support credit decisions for an agricultural loan portfolio.

You will prepare spreads, evaluate collateral, and assist Relationship Managers and Credit Officers across operating lines of credit, term loans, and ag real estate financing. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 1–3 years of underwriting experience, with knowledge of agricultural lending and seasonal cash flow patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically two or more years of related experience.
• Knowledge of agricultural lending and agribusiness operations.
• Experience spreading and analyzing agricultural financial statements.
• Understanding of collateral structures common in ag lending.
• Familiarity with credit policy, risk ratings and portfolio management practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial spreads and cash flow analyses for new loan requests, renewals, modifications, and portfolio management.
• Support credit decisions and monitor risk per bank policy and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate collateral for ag lending (real estate, equipment, livestock, crops).
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers to address credit questions and covenant monitoring.
• Develop understanding of agricultural production cycles and seasonal cash flows.
• Assist with portfolio reviews and ongoing credit risk monitoring.
