Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist, Global Strategic Sourcing for a remote U.S. role open to candidates nationwide. You will develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies, lead RFQs, negotiations, and supplier programs to improve cost structures and supplier performance.

The role may transition to hybrid if near a Collins site. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operational Procurement, Program Management, and Supply Chain to support new programs and transfers, drive

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, procurement, commodity management, or related field.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity and supplier development strategies for direct materials and products.
• Lead RFQs, bid analyses, and sourcing recommendations.
• Develop and execute supplier contract strategies including pricing and terms.
• Select, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers to meet quality, delivery, cost, and performance objectives.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly cost analyses to identify savings opportunities.
• Lead sourcing activities for buy-to-buy, buy-to-make, and make-to-buy initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operational Procurement, Engineering, and PM to support new programs and transfers.
• Drive supplier performance improvement and expand supplier base.
• Lead special projects with suppliers and cross-functional teams, providing timely reporting and MRP updates.
• Identify process improvements to enhance sourcing effectiveness and business performance.
