Job summary

Belcan is seeking an Aerospace System Security Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. The role is full-time with full benefits, requiring 6+ years of experience or 4+ years with a master's, and a BS in Cybersecurity or related STEM field. You will support cyber-physical embedded systems for aircraft engine controls.

You will collaborate across teams, travel up to 25%, and contribute to secure system development, lifecycle deliverables, and customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, STEM with 6+ years' experience or master's with 4+ years.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and security for cyber-physical systems.
• Experience applying security policies/standards (RMF, NIST SP 800-160, DO-326, DoDI 5000.83).
• Knowledge of program management lifecycle and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Determine technology and processes to meet system security requirements against cyber threats.
• Support SCRS implementation for customer programs including planning, requirements development, derivation and implementation, risk assessment and lifecycle deliverables.
• Review existing product designs for product security scope gaps and implement changes to meet contract requirements.
• Develop and drive Product Security best practices to product and design teams.
• Coordinate with the Product Security capability team to improve techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with customers, supply-chain, and industry experts to enhance Product Security capability and tools.
