Job summary

Salem State University is seeking adjunct professors to supervise pre-practicum and/or practicum teaching candidates remotely. Supervisors meet with students to discuss lesson plans, watch teaching videos, and provide feedback in post-observation meetings.

They work with host teachers to support candidate development using McKeown School technology platforms like Sibme and Canvas. Compensation is based on the number of students supervised; bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Master's degree in education and at least three years of teaching experience.
Proficiency with Canvas, Sibme, CAP Online, and SSU email.
Ability to work in a compliance-oriented environment and follow MA licensure requirements.
Experience giving actionable feedback to teachers.

Responsibilities

Supervise remotely using required platforms.
Lead supervision process with regular communication with the field office, host teacher, and student teacher.
Check Salem State email daily and respond within 24 hours, Monday-Friday.
Attend all scheduled orientation and training sessions.
Set up and maintain the University-approved platform for assigned supervision section.
Provide thorough, written feedback and oral feedback in remote meetings with teacher candidates.
Assign grades and input final grades by the due date.
