Job summary

Unity Environmental University is seeking online adjunct faculty to teach in its Distance Education program. Courses run five weeks across eight terms for baccalaureate programs and are delivered completely online.

Instructors will teach asynchronously, typically with about 20 students per course, and are expected to provide timely feedback and active engagement with students. Applicants should hold a terminal degree or Master’s with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree or PhD or Master’s with relevant work experience in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Proficiency with common PC software: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication via email and digital conferencing tools.
• Personal commitment to environmental focus and mission of the college.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement in 5-week undergraduate-level courses in psychology, human services, organizational behavior, and related topics.
• Teach asynchronously with an average of 20 students per course.
• Provide timely feedback, engage in Discussion Board tasks, and respond to students.
