Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking an Online General Education English Instructor to join our team. This adjunct role will deliver General Education courses in English within the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN programs, using an LMS to deliver content and assess student progress.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in English with higher-ed teaching experience and a track record of employing innovative teaching methods to engage a diverse online student body. Doctoral degree preferred.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in English is required.
Higher-ed instructing experience is required.
Experience with online teaching using an LMS is required.
Background in educational methodology or current concepts in education is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) is required.

Responsibilities

Instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN programs.
Teach courses such as Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Psychology, History, Ethics, Political Science, Critical Reasoning.
Develop coursework and materials for assigned classes.
Continually improve instruction using innovative teaching methods.
Review and revise syllabi and instructional guidelines.
Evaluate students regularly and communicate progress.
Assist with instructional planning and assessment of initiatives.
Maintain student attendance and grades records; assist with data collection.
Use LMS to deliver content and stay current.
