Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a remote adjunct in the Undergraduate Game Art and Development program to teach GAM-370 Developing Online and Networked Games. You will engage students asynchronously, provide instruction, feedback, and real-world context to build their skills and prepare them for careers in game development.

The role includes staying current in the field, offering additional resources, and supporting inclusive, engaging online discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Game Art, 3d Modeling and Animation, Digital Arts, Computer Graphics, or related field
• 2+ years experience in game programming or related field
• Proficiency in Networking Fundamentals (TCP/UDP), Client-Server Models, Multiplayer Game Loops, Network Prediction & Lag Compensation, Security Basics, and Cloud/Backend Familiarity
• 1+ years of teaching preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage online students in asynchronous learning with guidance and resources
• Provide instruction, feedback, and experiential learning to help students achieve goals
• Evaluate student work and give constructive feedback within set timeframes
• Foster active participation in online discussions and inclusive, respectful communication
