Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking certified Adapted Physical Education (APE) teachers to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students nationwide. This fully remote role lets you build a schedule around your life, set your hourly rate, and work with diverse learners who benefit from modified physical activities and wellness guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience working with students who have education needs.
• Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations.
• Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, individualized virtual physical education tailored to each student's physical abilities, motor development goals, and unique learning profile.
• Create structured, modified fitness plans that align with student IEP goals, targeting areas such as gross motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and spatial awareness.
• Adapt instruction in real time based on student engagement, physical capabilities, and home environment constraints, creatively using household items or limited spaces for safe, active movement.
• Track student progress and communicate effectively with families, IEP teams, and school district partners to ensure regulatory compliance and transparent reporting on motor skill development.
