Sentara Health in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Senior Coding Specialist- Acute Care to support daily operations, quality and service, and regulatory compliance within the HIM team. You will act as a technical resource, assist the Team Coordinator/Manager, and contribute to process improvements and staff development.

The role requires 2 years of coding experience with CCS, CIC, CCA, RHIT, CPC, or COC certifications, plus a preferred 1 year of Health Information Management experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years coding experience required.
• CCS, CIC, CCA, RHIT, CPC, or COC certification(s) required.
• 1 year Health Information Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Team Coordinator/Manager with daily operations and workflow.
• Provide technical support and participate in quality control activities.
• Support staff development and process improvements.
