Job summary

Acturhire seeks an Actuarial Associate in the United States for data analysis of cost, membership, capitation, rate-setting and IBNR. You’ll model with SQL and Excel to assess financial risk and develop exhibits for socialization of outcomes.

The role serves as a subject matter expert to internal/external stakeholders and partners with teams to deliver actionable insights and presentations. Travel may be required for onsite meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business, or related field from an accredited college/university.
• At least three (3) years of related experience in an actuarial capacity.
• Candidate must have passed at least 2 SOA actuarial examinations.

Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment and Modeling: evaluate information to determine potential risks and financial impact.
• PMPM Development/Monitoring: analyze actual vs budgeted PMPM rates by Service Category.
• IBNR Calculations: support development, maintenance and liability calculations.
• Value-Based Contracts: assist in assessment and reporting; financial reconciliation for risk sharing.
• Rate Setting: internal SME on State Rate developments and validate rate book assumptions.
• Documentation: create procedures to support Completion and IBNR; socialization and presentation of findings.
