Job summary

Waveguide LLC is an AV, IT and acoustics design and hospitality company focused on elevating human connection through better communication. We seek an Associate Acoustic Consultant to support our acoustics team, with remote/home-based work and occasional travel to project sites.

You will assist senior consultants in delivering projects, perform acoustical measurements, and help with documentation and QA. A four-year degree in engineering/science with acoustics is required.

Qualifications

• Four-year university degree in engineering or science with vibration/acoustics specialization.
• 1–3 years of professional acoustical consulting experience.
• Hands-on experience with acoustic instrumentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with educational, commercial, and institutional building design and construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP and sound masking drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams in the delivery of defined project tasks including acoustic reports and reviews.
• Support documentation, status tracking, and issue logging for projects.
• Conduct acoustical measurements (environmental noise, reverberation, sound isolation).
• Participate in design coordination meetings and cross-discipline reviews.
• Contribute to multiple consulting disciplines across project phases.
• Assist in quality assurance reviews and supervised site visits.
