Job description

We are looking for a strong and passionate Remote Accounting Manager (NetSuite/Great Plains Systems) Contractor to join our global team in a permanently remote work from home set-up as an independent contractor. For this role, we only process candidates that are based in the Philippines.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Oversee the month-end close activities and reconciliations (GL, bank accounts, credit cards, month and year-end closing).

• Lead day-to-day accounting activities including:

-> Accounts Payable (AP): reviewing invoices, accounting for deposit payments, coding transactions, and processing payments.

-> Accounts Receivable (AR): invoicing, processing deposits, collections, and revenue recognition

-> Maintaining and balancing the General Ledger (GL)

• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other key processes.
• Support in creating actionable financial reporting & analysis, providing insights and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), regulations, and tax requirements.
• Has in depth proficiency in NetSuite and Great PlainsERP system.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, HR, and Operations to ensure accurate financial data
• Implement and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Supervise, provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members and contractors.
• Consistently deliver timely and quality client services.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the team and the client

People we're looking for

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
• At least 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience
• Strong knowledge and experience with NetSuite, bookkeeping, financial statements, reporting, and analysis
• Capable of working from home with strong internet connectivity
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency and fostering team collaboration.
• Strong analytical abilities, with a sharp focus on ensuring accuracy in financial data.
• Proactive and adaptable, eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information.
• Tech-savvy, quick to learn and proficient in navigating accounting and workflow software.
