Role And Responsibilities

  • Work with broker distribution networks to retain and grow an existing client book of business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing strategic broker partners.
  • Retain customers in the small and mid-market business range through channel distribution broker partners.
  • Understand customer needs and provide value-added consultation. Conduct midyear, pre-renewal broker, and renewal client meetings to ensure business renewal.
  • Support brokers with education and implementation of The Difference Card products, including conducting broker education meetings.
  • Conduct employee open enrollment meetings to educate members, aiming to reduce inquiries, increase enrollments, and improve retention.
  • Travel as required for client meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments such as Operations, Technology, Finance, and Underwriting.
  • Cross-sell additional lines of business to existing clients.
  • Convert large accounts to the self-funded Difference Health Plan when appropriate.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via email and phone.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Metrics

  • Number of meetings and client interactions.
  • Accuracy of renewal exhibits and benefits summaries.
  • Client retention rates and cross-selling success.

Education And Licensure Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • State health insurance license within six months of employment.

Skills And Experience

  • Experience in retaining and growing client books in insurance.
  • Excellent public speaking skills.
  • Experience with health insurance carriers and brokers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Spanish fluency preferred.
  • Ability to analyze problems and present strategic solutions.

Compensation

  • Base salary plus variable commission.

Job Type: Full-Time (exempt)

Travel Required: Yes, 20-40%
