Job summary

Mind Base Education is seeking an Academic Mentor for remote, part-time work to support students with individual online tutoring. You will mentor one-on-one or small groups, helping them grasp key concepts and develop study strategies.

You will track progress, adjust learning plans, communicate with learners and families as needed, and maintain accurate session records using online tools, in a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport.
• Solid knowledge of mathematics and general education principles.
• Experience in training, tutoring, teaching, or mentoring diverse learners.
• Ability to work independently in remote settings and manage time.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and commitment to inclusive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or small-group mentoring sessions online.
• Help learners understand key coursework concepts.
• Guide effective study habits and problem-solving strategies.
• Collaborate with students to set goals and track progress.
• Communicate performance and areas for improvement with families when appropriate.
