UPchieve is seeking an Academic Coach to tutor students remotely across math, science, reading, English, history, and college prep. The role is part-time (5–10 hours/week), fully remote, with training provided to help you get started.

No tutoring experience is required, and you must be enrolled in a Liberty University degree program with Federal Work Study eligibility. Background checks are required, and you must meet all policy and conduct standards.

Qualifications

• No tutoring experience required.
• Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at Liberty University.
• Federal Work Study eligibility.
• 5 to 10 hours of work availability per week.
• Must pass various background checks including criminal/federal/state checks.
• Not in default on federal student or parent loan.
• Not convicted of crimes involving funds; no fraud.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students one-on-one through UPchieve’s virtual classroom with text-based chat and a shared whiteboard.
• Get certified in three or more UPchieve subjects.
• Complete tutor training and apply feedback to provide student-centered support.
• Adhere to Liberty University policies and embody LU’s Christian model and mission.
