Job summary

Breeze Airways is seeking highly qualified Captains to lead safe and timely flight operations across the Breeze network. You will evaluate airworthiness, weather, and operational factors to ensure compliant, on-time flights while supervising crew and coordinating with dispatch and ground personnel.

The role requires extensive time in large transport-category aircraft, FAA ATP with multi-engine rating, and a valid medical certificate.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old at the time of hire.
• FAA Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with airplane multi-engine class rating
• Minimum of 3,000 hours fixed wing time
• 2,000+ hours total time in large, Group II transport category, fixed-wing aircraft (turbojet >41,000 lbs)
• 500+ hours of PIC in large, Group II transport category aircraft
• 500+ hours of US FAA Part 121 PIC time within the last 3 years
• Actively flying two of the past five years
• Pilot training history in PRD
• Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate
• Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit
• Valid US driver’s license or ability to obtain
• Valid passport or ability to obtain
• Unrestricted travel to/from the United States
• DOT pre-employment drug test
• TSA fingerprint-based background check and Breeze background check
• Authorization to work in the United States
• English language proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and timely completion of flight operations per Company policies and FARs
• Operates assigned flights after assessing airworthiness and conditions (weather, nav aids, etc.)
• Operate aircraft during duty period per policies and FARs
• Supervise enroute performance of other crewmembers
• Maintain high proficiency in flight operations and systems for the aircraft flown
• Complete pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure airworthiness
• Familiarize with departure/arrival weather for each flight
• Plan and fuel flights safely per policies and regulations
• Assist with handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, cargo when needed
• Notify dispatcher of any factors affecting flight schedule for possible diversions
• Follow Rules of Conduct per Playbooks
• Assess risk and use resources to keep risk at acceptable levels
• Perform other flight officer duties as assigned
