Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a 3rd Grade Teaching Assistant, fully remote in the United States. You will support the lead teacher in delivering a Core Knowledge curriculum to elementary students under mentorship of a Master Teacher.

The position is an apprentice teaching role with potential to become a lead teacher; a degree is not required and travel for training may be needed. Great Hearts offers exceptional benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• May require AA, 60 hours of college credit, or ParaPro proficiency exam depending on location.
• Background check and fingerprint clearance required by state.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing a rich Core Knowledge curriculum.
• Act as a second teacher in the classroom under mentorship of a Master Teacher.
• Collaborate with teachers on instruction, student learning and daily activities.
• Attend faculty meetings, school events and assigned duties.

Education
