Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks qualified teachers to serve as the teacher of record for Florida’s Virtual Preparatory Academy online program. Travel for in-person state testing and student events is required several times per year.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida teaching license in the appropriate content area, are comfortable in a growth-based coaching environment, and can communicate effectively with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years' experience teaching.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas.
• Strive to meet student achievement and culture goals and state accountability.
• Deliver effective live lessons via web conference.
• Complete course setup for each course in the LMS.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback.
