Job summary

Drop Fake is a fully remote game studio seeking an experienced 3D character artist to help shape our upcoming titles. You will create high-quality characters based on concept art, collaborating with the art team to realize the design vision.

Your work will cover modeling, texturing, shading, and topology to ensure rigging and animation readiness, while optimizing for performance. We value autonomy, direct communication, and a creative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a 3D character artist in the video game industry.
• Proficient in 3D modeling, texturing and sculpting software.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, form and silhouette.
• Experience with hand painted and stylized texturing and shading.
• Experience with character skinning and creating clean topology for optimal deformations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality and visually appealing 3D characters based on concept art and design specifications
• Collaborate with the art team to ensure characters meet project requirements and artistic vision
• Optimize character models for performance and resource efficiency
• Ensure character models can be rigged and animated correctly
• Support the Character Director with establishing and applying best practices for character visual quality, benchmark, and workflow efficiency.
