Job summary

optiBPO is seeking a CAD Modeler to join its engineering team. You will produce and maintain accurate 3D Inventor models, assemblies and related data, translating concepts into robust, manufacturable designs.

This hands‑on role requires meticulous self‑checking, clear communication of gaps, and adherence to CAD standards. You'll manage model states, BOM data and iProperties, while ensuring readiness for documentation and release.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Drafting or Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ hands on experience using Autodesk Inventor.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience using Inventor Model States and Autodesk Vault.
• Proven experience developing accurate multi‑part assemblies and models incorporating sheet metal, fabricated, machined, and purchased components.
• Experience with configurable or modular products, parameter‑driven automation, or reusable model libraries is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Construct accurate and complete 3D product models from concepts and design data.
• Create and modify parametric parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop component geometry, fit, interfaces, clearances, and materials for manufacturing.
• Manage Inventor Model States for product variants and assembly configurations.
• Model sheet metal, fabricated, machined, and purchased components for assemblies.
• Review source information for gaps and manufacturability concerns.
• Maintain stable model and assembly structures with proper file relationships.
• Apply materials, part numbers, iProperties, and BOM data per CAD standards.
• Prepare drawing‑ready handovers with required files and notes.
• Self-check work before handover ensuring geometry, tolerances and metadata are correct.
• Use Autodesk Vault for version control and file management.
• Follow CAD standards and engineering‑change processes.
• Provide progress updates and manage priorities.
