Job summary

Carillon Senior Living in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Renovation Technician to join the Health Center team and support unit renovations through carpentry, drywall, painting, and related tasks. The role reports to a supervisor and emphasizes safety and quality workmanship.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, some technical schooling, and roughly a year of construction or maintenance experience. Candidates should be able to read blueprints and operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical schooling preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in building construction, maintenance, or general labor.
• Knowledge of equipment used in construction or related work.
• Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with others.
• Able to learn simple tasks.
• Able to operate hand and power tools.
• Able to lift and carry equipment or materials.
• Able to read and follow blueprints and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Remodeling and unit turnover.
• Assist with apartment turnover.
• Support unit renovations through demo, framing, minor repairs, trim work, hauling/cleanup, and general jobsite assistance.
• May operate company truck to transport workers, materials, and light equipment.
• Perform general maintenance such as carpentry, drywall, texture, painting, and form setting.
• Complete work orders daily per policy.
• Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Work in priority order as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with winter snow removal as needed.
• Perform daily tasks safely and in accordance with policies.
• Follow supervisor instructions for specific duties.

Who you are:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Have some Technical Schooling and/or background preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience building construction, maintenance, or general labor services
• Knowledge of equipment used in construction or other related work

Summary:

The Renovation Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the renovations department. Conducting under supervisor direction, construction-related tasks such as carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting.

Essential Job Duties:

• Remodel / Unit Turnover
• Assists with apartment turnover.
• Supports unit renovations through demo, framing, minor repairs, trim work, hauling/cleanup, and general jobsite assistance.
• May operate company truck for the purpose of transporting workers, construction materials, and light equipment
• Performs general maintenance duties, such as: carpentry, drywall installation, tape bedding, texturing, painting, and form setting
• Completes assigned work orders daily according to work order system policy
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs
• Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Accomplishes work in the order of priority set by supervisor
• Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts
• Performs daily tasks in a safe and workman-like manner in accordance with company policies
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
