Position Overview

DRIRITE is hiring a Remediation Technician Apprentice for a full-time position in Tampa, Florida. As a Remediation Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for removing and repairing water and mold damaged materials and handling issues caused by water or mold damage. Our technicians are the face of our organization and the first contact a client has after a traumatic situation, which is why good customer service and a helpful attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the management team to ensure excellent customer care.
• Set up air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air scrubbers to restore damaged property.
• Handle issues caused by water or mold damage, removing and replacing damaged materials.
• Communicate professionally and friendly with teammates and customers.
• Follow company policies to ensure safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Document drying progress using a phone or tablet.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to be on call and work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• IICRC certifications in water damage or mold remediation are preferred but not required.
• Background in plumbing, demolition, water mitigation, and/or carpentry is a plus but not required.
