Job summary

RECON seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee daily operations of earthwork, cap closure, and environmental remediation construction projects in the Western United States. You will lead field crews and heavy equipment, ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence, and coordinate with risk, cost control, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in earthwork or remediation project management, a relevant bachelor's degree, proficiency with MS Project or Primavera, and strong

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience managing earthwork construction projects with mine reclamation or environmental remediation focus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
  • Proven leadership and ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee field operations for earthwork, cap closure and remediation projects from planning through closeout.
  • Lead field crews and heavy equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to project requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-bid planning, contract administration and change orders.
  • Monitor progress with project controls and KPI dashboards.
  • Develop forecasts and status reports, including budgets and completion dates.
  • Maintain client relationships to support timely payments and repeat business.
  • Provide mentorship and ensure compliance with safety, quality and productivity standards.
  • Prepare, submit and track invoices per contract terms.
