Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an Environmental Geologist or Environmental Engineer to join our team. You will work on a wide range of environmental projects, supporting field and office activities across the region.

Required: a B.S. in Geology/Hydrogeology/Environmental Science/Geoscience or Environmental Engineering; 10+ years of relevant experience; strong data interpretation and reporting skills; willingness to travel; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Requires a B.S. in Geology/Hydrogeology/Environmental Science/Geoscience or B.S. in Environmental Engineering.
PG or PE preferred.
10+ years of hands-on related work experience preferred.
Experience reviewing and interpreting geologic data to prepare site models.
Ability to travel, including overnight
Valid driver's license and background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and conduct environmental project activities in field and office.
Perform and supervise soil and groundwater site assessments.
Manage soil and groundwater cleanup activities.
Oversee QA/QC and decontamination during field work.
Document closure of sites under state and federal regulations.
Develop conceptual site models of subsurface conditions.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and maintenance manuals.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and contracting documents.
Manage and track project budgets.
Mentor junior staff and provide guidance.
