Job summary

Stantec in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an Environmental Geologist/Technician to support remediation and EHS compliance teams. You will perform fieldwork and provide technical support for groundwater and soil remediation, due diligence, and EHS projects. Strong problem solving and communication skills are essential.

Travel up to 70% may be required. Educational requirements include a Bachelor's in Geology or related field, with 0-3 years of experience; 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience.
• 40-Hr HAZWOPER training (preferred, but not required).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations.
• Perform ES&PC inspections and stormwater sampling.
• Fieldwork with local travel and some regional travel as needed.
• Conducting site evaluations and preparing reports such as Phase I and/or Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
• Support project managers and senior project staff in producing high quality work products for our clients.
• Support project delivery including providing technical input to projects.
• Site health and safety planning and completing work safely.
• Compiling, evaluating, analyzing, and presenting/reporting data.
