Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking an RTI Interventionist for Westwood Elementary in Greenwood, IN. The role provides targeted academic interventions to help students meet grade-level expectations within the MTSS/RTI framework, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to drive data-driven instruction.

You will deliver Tier II and III interventions in reading and mathematics, use screening and progress-monitoring data, and contribute to professional learning communities while safeguarding

Qualifications

  • Elementary teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience providing reading and/or mathematics intervention preferred.
  • Knowledge of RTI/MTSS frameworks and evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Experience using student assessment data to guide instruction and intervention.
  • Strong understanding of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, support staff, and families.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting the academic needs of diverse learners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier II and Tier III intervention services to individual students and small groups in reading and/or mathematics.
  • Deliver evidence-based instructional interventions aligned with Indiana Academic Standards and district curriculum.
  • Utilize universal screening data, diagnostic assessments, and classroom performance data to identify students requiring intervention.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust intervention plans based on student progress and ongoing assessment results.
  • Monitor student growth through regular progress monitoring and maintain accurate documentation of intervention data.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure intervention strategies complement core classroom instruction.
  • Participate in MTSS/RTI meetings, student support meetings, and professional learning communities.
  • Assist with analyzing student achievement data to identify trends and recommend instructional supports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with FERPA and corporation policies.
  • Participate in professional development related to literacy, mathematics, intervention practices, assessment, and instructional best practices.
  • Build positive relationships with students while fostering confidence, perseverance, and academic success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or designee.

POSITION SUMMARY

The RTI (Response to Intervention) Interventionist is responsible for providing targeted, research-based academic interventions to students who require additional support to meet grade-level expectations. Working within Greenwood Community School Corporation's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)/RTI framework, the Interventionist collaborates with teachers, administrators, instructional staff, and families to improve student achievement through data-driven instruction, progress monitoring, and evidence-based intervention strategies.

Westwood Elementary is seeking a dedicated and student-centered educator who is passionate about helping every student succeed by closing achievement gaps and supporting academic growth in reading and/or mathematics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III intervention services to individual students and small groups in reading and/or mathematics.
  • Deliver evidence-based instructional interventions aligned with Indiana Academic Standards and district curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Elementary teaching experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to move throughout classrooms and school facilities throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, and reach as required for instruction and student support.
  • Ability to lift and carry instructional materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in an elementary school setting with frequent interaction with students, staff, parents, and administrators. The position requires flexibility to provide intervention services in classrooms, intervention spaces, and other instructional environments while maintaining a positive and collaborative learning atmosphere
