Remarketing Auction Representative

Houston, TX | Home office

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing repossessed vehicle inventory and auction vendor relationships. It serves as the primary contact for vehicle assessment, reconditioning, sale preparation, valuation, and sale decisions. The main goal is to maximize net recovery by managing auction vendors and inventory, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective sale of repossessed vehicles, while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage vendor performance, including compliance and corrective actions.
• Manage regional inventory, oversee transport, inspections, grading, estimates, and sale approvals.
• Conduct on-site reviews of auction procedures and inventory prep.
• Organize vendor meetings, review performance reports, and address deficiencies.
• Negotiate arbitration claims with senior management.
• Identify market arbitrage opportunities.
• Audit auction expenses and announcements.
• Report and manage travel expenses per company policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Licenses:

• Experience in vehicle valuation, reconditioning, and wholesale remarketing.
• Understanding of automotive market trends and regional economic factors.
• Ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with multiple databases and PC platforms.
• Familiarity with NAAA auction policies is a plus.
• Experience in frame assessment or condition report writing is preferred.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of automotive/remarketing experience required.

Tools & Software:

• Experience with Daybreak, AutoIMS, RDN, Manheim Market Report, CSAToday.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
